ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Program Scheduled During April
Do you need help starting your first career? Or are you looking to attain new job skills?
The ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Program was developed by the National Restaurant Association. It is designed to meet today’s food safety challenges and fulfill state requirements for certified food protection managers. Updated with the 2016 FDA food codes the class will enhance your knowledge of the principles of safety and sanitation in the food service field. The class is 16 hours long and concludes with a two hour examination. Graduates who pass the exam will receive a certificate of certification. The Instructor for this program will be award winning chef Jim Washington. Mr. Washington will be teaching his fourth class during the 2016-2017 School year. Several of our graduates have found full time employment as well as improved their current employment status. Mr. Washington has been an instructor at the Career and Technology Center for twelve years.
The way the program works is simple. Obtain an application by downloading it from the J.M. Tawes website or the Somerset County Public Schools Adult Education Website.
