hotDesks team advances to Global Judging in NASA Space Apps Challenge
Five innovators from Washington College spent the weekend of April 29 & 30 at hotDesks/Chestertown participating in the 2017 NASA Space Apps Challenge.
Calling itself the Dream Team, team members developed an app that serves as a solar energy budgeter, helping residential users budget their energy uses by device and appliance both in terms of the production and the consumption of energy.

The team has advanced to the Global Judging Round. In the global judging round, a panel of NASA judges will select winners in each of the five finalist categories: Best Mission Concept, Best Use of Hardware, Best Use of Data, Most Inspiring, and Galactic Impact. The judges will review the finalists based on a short project description, a 30-second video, and project page links. Any code developed during the event weekend must be open source.
Global winners will be eligible to attend a NASA launch event.
